Lifted Hands’ ministry in South America is centered primarily in Ecuador, where we have had the privilege of serving Kingdom Life Ministries since 2018.
South America
Our first trip to Cuenca began with an invitation from Bob and Lori Leek to visit and serve their church for two weeks. During that time, we ministered to the youth, praise and worship team, congregation, and discipleship group known as Legacy. What began as a single visit developed into an ongoing ministry relationship.
Since then, we have returned on multiple occasions to teach marriage seminars, participate in medical mission outreaches, minister in church services, serve in local schools, and share the gospel through national television broadcasts. Today, we continue to support Kingdom Life Ministries’ work in Cuenca under the leadership of Javier and Carol Muñoz, who were appointed to oversee the local ministry.
Through Kingdom Life Ministries, countless lives have been touched by the gospel through both word and deed, demonstrating Christ’s love through compassionate service to the community.
Earlier ministry opportunities in South America also included a mission trip to the remote Peruvian jungle village of Obenteni. Leading a team of twelve, we spent several weeks serving the community through construction, education, medical outreach, and church ministry. Team members helped lay the foundation for a church building, ministered in local schools, assisted at a small medical facility, and led children’s and youth programs. Evening church and outreach services provided additional opportunities to share the hope of Christ with the village.
In addition to our ongoing ministry in Ecuador, Lifted Hands has also participated in short-term mission efforts in El Salvador and Guatemala, providing opportunities to encourage local churches, support ministry leaders, and share the love of Christ in practical ways.
